Description:
Minnesota Twins navy blue batting helmet used by the late Kirby Puckett while he manned centerfield for the Twins in the late 80's. The helmet has the slanted "M" that the Twins switched to in 1987. There are #34 identifiers on the front brim and rear of the helmet as well as Rawlings identifiers on rear. Puckett has personally signed the helmet in silver sharpie adding additional value to this keepsake. Puckett recently passed in 2006 only 8 days before his 46th birthday. His 12 year Hall of Fame career with the Twins spanned from 1984-1995. His career ended abruptly as he was diagnosed with glaucoma in the spring of 1995. |
