Description:
Blonde Louisville Slugger signature model R161 Frank Robinson professional model game bat. The bat measures 34.5 inches, weighs 34.3 ounces and shows evidence of moderate use with a few prominent ball marks, stitch impressions blue/orange bat rack marks. The model R161 is stamped into the knob and there is a faded #20 in black marker. Frank has added a perfect autograph under his stamped signature on the barrel.
The model number and weight perfectly match factory records. Frank typically ordered 35 inch R161 models but this bat, in light of the visible use and vintage '20' on the knob is authentic and was used by Robinson. He has his signature season in 1966 when he hit for the elusive Triple Crown swatting 49 HR's, driving in 122 runs and hitting .316 while also taking home AL MVP honors. Robinson is also a member of baseball's 500 HR Club with 586 career round trippers, placing him 8th all time. |
