Unique New York Yankees 1941 player contract for Hall of Fame pitcher Charles "Red" Ruffing.  The contract calls for Ruffing to make $21,000 for the 1941 season, a Kings Ransom during that era of baseball.  Both Ruffing and Yankees President EG Barrow have signed the legal document in the lower right hand corner. 

Ruffing's Hall of Fame career spanned 1924-47 most of which was spent pitching for the Yankees from 1930-46.  He has 273 career wins and was inducted into the HOF in 1967.  It is very rare to be able to acquire an actual player contract from this caliber of player. Combine that fact with the fact that he was one of the all time Yankee greats and you have a truly special collectible.
